Phone: 604-819-2728

Biography

Chelsea is a Registered Clinical Counsellor (#6888) and a member in good standing with the British Columbia Association of Clinical Counsellors (BCACC). She completed a Bachelors Degree in Psychology and Criminology from the University of the Fraser Valley, and a Masters of Counselling Psychology Degree from the Adler School of Professional Psychology.

Since 2006 she has worked in a variety of counselling settings with children, youth, families and adults. These include; hospitals, mental health clinics, correctional facilities and non profit agencies. In addition to private practice, she works as a part time Child and Youth Mental Health Clinician. She is also an approved provider for the Crime Victims Assistance Program (CVAP).

In addition to providing therapy, she also presents extensively to parents, Early Childcare workers, teachers, principal and other Counsellors on the topics of mental health issues, child development, child neurodevelopment, and the most effective strategies of responding.

Chelsea thoroughly enjoys working with individuals and families. The sense of connection and attachment between parent and child is special and often feels strained at some point during the developmental process. She strives to help family members reconnect with each other and create new, healthier ways of interacting with one another.

Chelsea aims to provide a warm, caring and compassionate space to express yourself and feel heard. No two people are alike and no two counselling sessions are alike either. She works with her clients to formulate mutually agreed upon goals and work together towards the changes YOU would like to see in your life, not what she/others expect to see. She strives to understand you and to be able to provide you with what you feel you need.

Whether you want to improve your relationship you have with someone and change the existing dynamic or you would like some individual services to help address personal issues you are struggling with, Chelsea is more than happy to consult over the phone so you can determine whether this would be a good fit for you.
